Portrait of Space

This project focuses on the scene before it becomes an image.

Since perception is passive and cannot choose what arrives in the sensory organs, it is the body that creates meaning from the impressions and records them in memory. This process of creation takes place immediately after the sensory experience, and it is dominated by thoughts, i.e. previous experiences. Once the image has been created, the body’s reaction to the similar experience will be recalled, conditioned on the previous experience.

Instead of experiencing the complexity of this chaos in everyday life, in order to protect ourselves, we deal with the surfaces of our feelings, which are inputs that arise from other surfaces.

The "Portrait of Space" documents the space between these surfaces. One is our perception, which is about to create the image, and the other is reflected surfaces in infinity that meet our perception.
